Web Accessibility 101 explains the thrust of the United Nations in promoting eCommerce to all and their guidelines for Internet protocols that will benefit those with and without disabilities in finding your product/services. A look at the barriers of web communication and how to overcome them. The population of American living with a disability is 19% and growing. This group is estimated to have $200 billion in discretionary spending.

Cheryl C. Silvera, owner of Qinnamon, a Disabilities Awareness and Strategies company, brings over 14 years of experience in both for-profit and non-profit initiative in promoting awareness of the underserved 19% of the population as consumers with disabilities that have $200 billion discretionary spending. She has organized community forums with NYC officials, established local Disabilities Expo with over 70 vendors and over 500 attendees. She has conducted local and national seminars on the subject. She is a certified NYS educator in Special Education, subscribes to courses in ADA compliance, and is a graduate of Pratt Institute, Brooklyn, with a Master of Science in Communication Design.
